The focus of our practice is civil litigation. We are experienced civil trial lawyers representing both sides of the docket in matters involving personal injury and property damage resulting from motorcycle and car accidents, products liability and workplace injuries. We also represent clients in matters involving business, banking and commercial litigation, medical malpractice and probate litigation. Our practice also features a heavy emphasis on arbitration and mediation, which are processes seeking to resolve legal disputes prior to trial.

Distinguished Record of Representation
At Splawn Simpson Pitts, we are knowledgeable in Texas law and experienced advocates for our clients. Since graduating from Texas Tech University School of Law and being admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1974, John Simpson has represented clients in many areas of civil litigation including personal injury, medical malpractice and commercial law. He has been admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth District, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and the U.S. District Court, Northern and Western Districts of Texas. In 1981, Mr. Simpson received certification by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law. Mr. Simpson has been appointed to the Board of Law Examiners by the Supreme Court of Texas and currently serves on that board.
Tom Pitts also graduated from Texas Tech University School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1983. Since that time, he has provided skilled representation to clients throughout Lubbock County and West Texas. Mr. Pitts currently serves on the Board of Disciplinary Appeals, as appointed by the Supreme Court of Texas.
